Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, or just good ole’ Fitness! Our organization is a group of individuals fostering a fitness program together through swimming activities in a not-for-profit manner. LAMSC is a 501(c)3.

Swimming is a great addition to any cross training program!

Michael "Tex" Ritter

Head Coach
Originally from NY, Coach Tex swam NCAA for SUNY at New Paltz, and then began swimming USMS in NYC. He was Head Coach of the AGUA Masters team until he moved to Maui in 2002. He then began coaching the Lahaina group of the Valley Isle Masters, now Lahaina Masters Swim Club, and is also a USA Coach with the Lahaina Swim Club age group team. The 16 year Head Coach for the Maui Preparatory Academy HS team, which he helped form in 2008, in 2023 he coached the MPA Swimmers to their first ever rare Dual Championships for BOTH the Boys and Girls Teams. He was also named 2023 MIL Coach of the Year! A 20 yr. Long Beach Beach Patrol Lifeguard, Tex is now an Ocean Safety Officer (Ocean Lifeguard) for the County of Maui; Lieutenant on the West Side at Hanakao'o Beach Park, aka Canoe Beach. If Coach Tex is not at the pool or on the beach, he very likely will be out surfing. His coaching motto is "Swim Aloha".
Lahaina Masters Swim Club is a USMS registered team, team code "LAMSC". All LAMSC swimmers must be registered with USMS, please click the logo to sign up and more information for USMS.
